We stayed overnight in Bernkastel and then headed back downstream at 10:15am with a whole day of cruising and the opportunity to enjoy the Moselle River. The weather was fine but cool and windy so much of the day was spent indoors. However we did get some quality time on the top deck and enjoyed the beautiful scenery.

We also learned a lot about the 1200 year history of Germany from our tour director, Alex, who made a very polished presentation backed up with a slide show depicting the many changes to countries, nations and cities that has taken place. It was (surprisingly) fascinating.
